CHC and Hydronic Industry Training Opportunities


No business can grow without good training for its employees. The Canadian Hydronics Council offers a variety of training programs to assist your personal, professional and business growth. The Council offers national programs of skills development which are available for personnel of every experience level and area of specialization.
 

The Art of Hydronic Fundamentals

Since its introduction in 2006, more than 1000 participants have attended this popular 2-day school. This is an entry level course and the starting point for anyone interested in learning more about the professional installation of hydronic heating systems.

Course Description

This program is an important starting point for anyone interested in the professional installation of hydronic heating systems. Participants will gain basic knowledge of hydronic terminology, how the design relates to the installation and how to avoid common pitfalls that cause the installation to fail. The lessons cover the fundamental principles of today's hydronic systems and relevant topics are covered on a general level so all participants can gain valuable information to become more proficient in hydronics.

This course is recommended for anyone who wants to learn the basics of hydronic installation practces and get started on a path to improve their knowledge, skills and professionalism. Installers, contractors, designers, wholesalers, manufacturers and agents are all encouraged to register.
 

Certification

CHC encourages hydronics professionals to consider becoming a Certified Hydronic Designer or Installer. Offered through the Northern Alberta Insitute of Technology, both in class and online learning, this program this is the only accepted credential recognized by some provinces.
